Conditions: Anger Management/Anger Problems
What are anger problems?
Anger is a natural and healthy emotion, which we experience when we feel attacked, deceived, invalidated or unfairly treated.
Anger can be adaptive as it can mobilise us towards taking action in the face of injustice, helps us to defend ourselves in dangerous situations by giving us burst of energy as part of our fight or flight response. Anger can be useful and can help us to identify problems, create change and understand what is important to us and what we value. Learning healthy ways to recognise, express and deal with anger is important for our mental and physical health. Emotions are neither good nor bad, they just are.
However, we may experience anger problems when we experience episodes of anger that feel unmanageable, feel out of control, and harm us or people around us.
